Watford 0-1 Crystal Palace
Only one Premier League match on a Sunday morning? Kind of a drag if you ask me. To make it worse, the first half put anyone right back into their Sunday morning state of not wanting to get out of bed.
Neither team put in a good show for the first 45 minutes. They each only got one shot on goal and generally kicked the ball around the park the entire time.
The pace picked up after the break. Watford's best chance of the have cane in the opening minutes of the second half. Jose Jurado blasted a free kick into the corner of the woodwork. Unfortunately for the home faithful, that's the closest the Hornets would get to a goal.
Palace owned the rest of the half, but it still took a penalty to give then their reward. Jurado brought down Wilfried Zaha in the penalty area with 20 minutes remaining and Yohan Cabaye nailed it from the spot for the match's lone goal.
Watford never truly threatened to score. In fact, Palace probably looked more like scoring on the counter attack than the home side did with their front forward.
The win means Crystal Palace leaps to sixth in the table with 12 points. Watford drops to 13th with only nine.
