Sunday Premier League: Spurs down Palace, United hold of Saints

Tottenham Hotspur 1-0 Crystal Palace
This one belonged to Spurs the whole way through. Although they only scored the one Son Heung-Min goal in the 68th minute, but they had hammered 22 shots towards Palace's goal. It was the second victory of the young season for Tottenham and they are now level on points with Palace with nine in the middle of the table.

Southampton 2-3 Manchester United
It was quite a thriller on the south coast. Graziano Pelle got Saints ahead first in the 13th minute. The lead would last until the 34th when Anthony Martial leveled for the Red Devils. Martial struck again five minutes after the second half got under way to put the visitors in the lead. A mad scramble in the penalty area in the 68th almost lead to his hat trick, but hsi shot drilled the bar before falling to Juan Mata who hammered home goal number three for United. Pelle got Saints back in it only four minutes from the final whistle, and had themselves a chance to tie the game in stoppage time. But David de Gea made a diving save to keep all three points for Manchester.

Liverpool 1-1 Norwich City
Liverpool's early struggles continue as they fail to pick up a win agaisnt the newly promoted Norwich City. They were the dominant team throughout the match and got rewarded with a Danny Ings goal in the 48th minute. Norwich managed to steal a point just after the hour mark with Russel Martin tying the game. The Reds pressed hard, but were unable to get a winner as they have to settle for another disappointing result at home against lesser opposition. Liverpool's eight points have them mired in 13th place in the table. Norwich, also with eight points, but is two spots in front on goal difference.
