Hooligan's Wake Up: Chicharito bags a hat trick, Euro 2016 Draw

A Messi goal, a Chicharito hat trick, Manchester United losing to AFC Bournemouth, and the Euro 2016 draw highlighted a busy Saturday in the world of soccer.

Bundesliga
Werder Bremen 1-1 FC Koln
(Vestergaard 4')-(Svento 79')

Bayern Munich 2-0 Ingolstadt
(Lewandowski 65', Lahm 75')

VfL Wolfsburg 1-1 Hamburg
(Arnold 78')-(Muller 21')

TSG Hoffenheim 1-0 Hannover 96
(Schmid 30')

Darmstadt 0-4 Hertha Berlin
(Ibisevic 12', Plattenhardt 26', Ibisevic 50', Kalou 77')

Bayer Leverkusen 5-0 Borussia Monchengladbach
(Kiessling 30', 66', Chicharito 63', 75', 76')

Chicharito's hat trick continues his career revival in Germany. After being uncerimoniously cast off from Real Madrid, the controversial Mexican international has really hade a name for himself in the Bundesliga. He has Leverkusen chasing a return to the Champions League, they are two points back of Wolfsburg for the third German spot in Europe.

La Liga
Barcelona 2-2 Deportivo La Coruna
(Messi 39', Rakitic 62')-(Perez 77', BergantiƱos 86')

Celta Vigo 1-0 Espanyol
(Aspas 42')

Levante 1-2 Grenada
(Mate 66')-(Penaranda 50', 88')

Sevilla 2-0 Sporting Gijon
(Gameiro PK 75', 80')
Las Palmas 1-0 Real Betis
(Jose 90+3')

Lionel Messi's goal was on a free kick that would have impressed us if anyone else had taken the shot. Messi has mad a living out of making the most difficult goals look like second nature. This was just another one in his vast collection of gems.

Serie A
Genoa 0-1 Bologna
(Rossettini 90+1')

Palermo 4-1 Frosinone
(Goldaniga 5', 86', Vazquez 17', Trajkovski 60')-(Sammarco 24')

Sassuolo 0-0 Torino (Postponed)

Udinese 0-4 Inter Milan
(Icardi 23', 83', Jovetic 31', Brozovic 86')

Inter are back to Italian relevancy after a prolonged absence from meaningful competition. They open up a four point lead atop Serie A with this win, at least until tomorrow's mathes happen.

Ligue 1
Stade de Reims 1-1 Nice
(Rodrigues PK 78')-(Germain 6')

Troyes 1-1 Bastia
(Cabot 59')-(Fofana 23')

Montpellier 2-1 Guingamp
(Camara 54', Ninga 62')-(Privat 32')

Lille 3-0 Lorient
(Bautheac 28', 55', Sidibe 84')

Nantes 1-1 Toulouse
(Sala 87')-(Pesic 53')

The relegation battle was in play yesterday in France as all of the bottom four sides were in action. Troyes is pretty much dead in the water, but Toulouse has a chance to climb out. After yesterday's draw, they are three points back of the also drawn Guingamp.

Headlines
The most newsworthy item from yesterday was the Euro 2016 draw Paris. There are some groups that will be plenty worth watching as 24 nations battle for European supremacy. See my full reaction here.
