Hooligan's Wake Up: Martinez mad at officials, Cole clear to come to LA,

The Premier League saw some bad calls by both referees and assistants affect teams at both the top and bottom of the table. Ashley Cole has also made some news in regards to the rumors of his move to MLS.
Premier League
Tottenham 4-1 Sunderland
(Eriksen 42', 67', Dembele 59', Kane 79')-(Van Aanholt 40')

AFC Bournemouth 3-0 Norwich City
(Gosling 10', Daniels 54', Afobe 75')

Chelsea 3-3 Everton
(Costa 64', Fabregas 66', Terry 90+8')-(Terry OG 50', Mirallas 56', Fines-Mori 90')

Manchester City 4-0 Crystal Palace
(Delph 22', Aguerp 41', 68', Silva 84')

Newcastle 2-1 West Ham
(Perez 6', Wijnaldum 15')-(Jelavic 49')

Southampton 3-0 West Bromwich Albion
(Ward-Prowse 5', 35', Tadic 72')

Aston Villa 1-1 Leicester City
(Okazaki 28')-(Gestede 75')

La Liga
Sevilla 2-1 Malaga
(Gameiro 40', 42')-(Charles 72')

Celta Vigo 4-3 Levante
(Guidetti 35', 40', 57', Orellana 84')-(Deyverson 63', Lopez 65', Morales 89')

Villarreal 0-0 Real Betis

Real Sociedad 1-1 Deportivo La Coruna
(Prieto 75')-(Alberto 26')

Villarreal could have temporarily jumped Real Madrid for third in La Liga, but instead stays in fourth place and gives up ground to Celta Vigo, who will probably not be able to catch them in the long run, but they appreciate the help.

Serie A
Atalanta 1-1 Inter Milan
(Murillo OG 17')-(Toloi OG 35')

Torino 4-2 Frosinone
(Immobile 9', Belotti 37', 41', Benassi 82')-(Sammarco 33', Avelar OG 74')

Napoli 3-1 Sassoulo
(Callejon 19', Higuain 42', 90+3')-(Falcinelli 3')

Inter Milan was top of the table a couple weeks ago, but they have since fallen off and given Napoli a four point advantage up there. Both have to keep their eyes on red hot Juventus, who don't seem capable of dropping points any time soon.

Ligue 1
Toulouse 0-1 Paris-St. Germain
(Ibrahimovic 73')

Bastia 1-0 Montpellier
(Ayite 48')

Bordeaux 1-0 Lille
(Diabate 51')

GFC Ajaccio 2-2 Stade de Reims
(Boutaib 2', Djokovic 72')-(de Preville 22', 31')

Guingamp 2-2 Nantes
(Benezet 3', Salibur 24')-(Kerbrat 64', Sabaly 90+2')

Troyes 2-4 Stade Rennes
(Camus 7', Jean 15')-(Diagne 21', 39', Dembele 28', Grosiski 81')

PSG extends their leaf to 23 points at the top of France. At this rate, the title will be theirs before the first day of spring. Stade Rennes were the only other relevant French club in action today. Their comeback win over winless Troyes gets them within two points of Nice for the third and final French Champions League spot.

European League Tables

Liga MX
Cruz Azul 1-1 Guadalajara
(Benitez 43')-(Pineda 6')

UANL 2-0 Morelia
(Aquino 73', Gignac 75')

Pachuca 1-0 Queretaro
(Pizarro 45')

Atlas 0-3 Club America
(Gonzalez OG 41', Peralta 57', Sambueza 58')

Dorados de Sinaloa 0-1 Tijuana
(Moreno 7')

Morelia put up a heck of a defensive fight against the Apetura champions, but two quick goals in the final 20 minutes sunk their efforts. The Javier Aquino goal was really something special. He received the pass, fought through one sliding challenge, then nutmegged a defender before chipping over the mostly helpless Carlos Rodriguez in goal. Morelia then forgot how to play off the kickoff and allowed the second goal pretty much straight away.

Headlines
The officiating in the Chelsea-Everton match was pretty rough. John Terry scored the equalizer at the tail end of the eighth out of seven announced stoppage time minutes, and that sis not sit well with Everton boss Roberto Martinez. He called the refereeing diabolical in his post game presser. That might be a bit of a harsh way to put it, but he has a point. The offside call that led to the tying goal was a pretty glaring miss that caused Everton to lose out on two extra points. John Terry, for his part, doesn't care if he was offside.

Diego Costa experienced a rather violent shin injury in Chelsea's mathc agaisnt Everton. He has been taken to a hospital for evaluation, but manager Guus Hiddink is hoping that it isn't too serious. With Radamel Falcao already out for an extended period of time, Chelsea could be a little short handed up front if Costa is out for a while. It could motivate Hiddink to add a striker before the end of the month.

Bundesliga relegation candidates Hanover are looking to bolster their ranks to stave off the drop. They have added Portuguese striker Hugo Almeida, who rejoins the top tier in German soccer, he played with Werder Bremen until 2010 before departing for Turkey.

We have heard the rumors that Ashley Cole would be the next aging European to join LA Galaxy. It now looks like that is moving closer and closer to reality. Cole has settled his contract dispute with AS Roma and is now able to sign a non-designated player deal with the Galaxy.
