Headlines
The Tim Howard to Colorado story appears to be nearing its conclusion, The American hero goalkeeper has been benched at Everton and is close to a deal that will bring him back to the States to play for the Rapids beginning this summer. Howard, Colorado, and Everton have been hung up on both the transfer fee and Howard's wages. Both issues seem to be settled. Everton will receive between $600,000 and $700,000 in transfer fees while Howard will make $5 million a season until 2019. Quite frankly, this is crazy money for an aging goalkeeper in MLS, especially for a team that has trouble scoring goals. At least Dick's Sporting Goods Park should be full every night once Howard arrives.

Cristiano Ronaldo is frustrated with how Real Madrid's season is playing out. It appears today's 1-0 home loss to Atletico Madrid has pushed him to the lashing out at teammates stage. He says that if everyone else were "at his level" they would be leaders in La Liga. Well, duh, dude. You're the second best player in the world. If the rest of your team were as good as you, of course you'd be pretty dang good. Only a team of Messis would be better. He later clarified to mean fitness level, but he really should watch what he says before unintentionally throwing your entire world class team under the bus.

In an interview with the Associated Press, Sepp Blatter revealed that FIFA's reforms are not his problem anymore. Thank God. He also went on to praise new president Gianni Infantino and to call on his "friends" in the United States to stop meddling in FIFA affairs and let the organization reform itself in peace.
