Headlines
FIFA came clean on something that surprised absolutely nobody. They revealed that bribes were prevalent in bidding for World Cup host privileges. I'm not shocked that they know this, but I am sort of surprised that they actually admitted it. In addition to this confession, they are demanding the return of the bribe money from the likes of Jack Warner, Chuck Blazer, and others.

The jury is still out on Diego Costa for his weird behavior towards Gareth Barry in the FA Cup last weekend, but he at least won't face punishment for the "rude gesture" he gave Everton's fans on his way off the pitch. The FA found insufficient evidence to charge him with anything extra in that regard.

The Juventus come from ahead loss is significant to England. It means that they will hold on to their four Champions League spots for another season. There was some speculation that a poor showing from English sides in the Champions League coupled with an Italian side making a run might bump Italy ahead in UEFA coefficient, giving Serie A an extra spot while taking one away from the Premier League. Thanks to Manchester City moving on and Juventus losing, that is now mathematically impossible.
