Headlines
Amid heavy links to the Chelsea job, Italy's Antonio Conte is officially leaving the Italian National team with the goal of returning to club management. All signs have pointed to him taking over at Chelsea. He has reportedly been in negotiations with the club for some time now, so it would be a shock if he went elsewhere.

Manchester City may have qualified for the Champions League quarterfinals for the first time ever, but they lost something rather significant in the process. Captain and star defender Vincent Kompany went down with another calf strain early in the match. Manuel Pellegrini has said that the Belgian will miss at least a month this time around. This is a huge loss for the Citizens, who fell out of the Premier League title race the last time Kompany missed significant time. Now, they risk falling out of the top four with Manchester United and West Ham both surging.

Sadio Mane was sent off in Southampton's match against Stoke on Saturday. Southampton appealed the red card and has won the appeal and Mane will not serve a suspension. The foul in question was an aerial challenge that went slightly awry for Mane. Even Stoke's manager Mark Hughes said he didn't think a red card was necessary.
