Friday Night MLS: Late Union winner puts them atop East

Philadelphia Union 2-1 Orlando City
Orlando was looking to carry on some momentum from their drubbing OG Portland on Sunday, but things didn't start as planned. A horrible mistake from Rafael Ramos allowed CJ Sapong to give Philly a second minute advantage. The goal did not get the visitors down, though. They began to throw a little bit of pressure forward sacs ended up scoring inn their first shot in target. That shot didn't come until the 43rd minute, but Adrian Winter's shot from the edge of the area was good enough to level the score before the break.

The second half made this match look like it was on a collision course for a draw. There were plenty of shots, but very few found the target. Philadelphia found their winner in the final minute from Tranquillo Barnetta, but it almost didn't hold. Orlando stormed right back and were a fantastic save from Andre Blake away from earning a draw.

The Union are back on top of the East with the rest of the weekend coming. Nine points from their first five matches is plenty better than most people expected for them.
