Friday Night MLS: Red Bulls bang out four goals and a clean sheet against Dallas

New York Red Bulls 4-0 FC Dallas
The Red Bulls finally remembered how to score goals inn Sunday night. Now they would have to do that again while their porous defense tried to keep FC Dallas off the scoresheet. They managed to get both of those objectives taken care of with relative ease.

They were off and running in the 37th minute. Lloyd Sam's first of the year would have been all they needed, but they didn't want to stop. The second half saw them step on the gas and score thrice more. First it was Sacha Kljestan inn the 52nd. Then Mike Grella in the 71st. Felipe finished the carnage in huge 82nd. They really could have had more, too.

Dallas never had any real chances, save for Mauro Diaz getting one late. But, overall, this was all Red Bulls all the time.

Could these last two games signal that NYRB has overcome their disaster of a start? It's possible. They have too much talent up front to feel like the Red Bulls that started the season will be the same Red Bulls we see for the rest of the year.

FC Dallas will want to forget this match as soon as possible. They know they are capable of more than what they showed tonight and will be able to move on. It was kind of sad that ask their attaching ability couldn't produce any goals tonight. Although, when their opposition held the ball as much as they did, it's hard to have expected many chances our of them.
