Full MLS recap

Borussia Dortmund 2-0 Hamburg SC
(Pulisic 38', Ramos 44', 86')

Christian Pulisic! The American teenager scored his first Bundesliga goal and became the youngest non-German to score in the league. He was also the fourth youngest player ever to score in the Bundesliga. Pulisic keeps reigning in the praise in Germany and the hype in America. It's really hard to temper your optimism for this kid, but he certainly looks like just what American soccer needs right now.

Mainz 2-3 FC Koln
(Cordoba 8', Balogun 49')-(Risse 64', Jojic 74', Modeste 82')

La Liga
M├ílaga 0-1 Athletic Bilbao

Rayo Vallecano 2-1 Villarreal
(Guerra 7', Miku 81')-(Adrian 20')

Barcelona 1-2 Valencia
(Messi 63')-(Rakitic OG 26', Mina 45+1')

Barcelona are on quite a skid right now, despite Lionel Messi netting his 500th career goal. Including their Champions League loss to Atletico Madrid, they have now fallen in four of five matches and are winless in La Liga four. They sit even with Atletico in the table with five matches to play. We also cannot forget Real Madrid, who are only a point back and have a far superior goal difference.

Jamie Vardy had a rough afternoon after he scored the opening goal in Leicester City's draw with West Ham. He was sent off for a second yellow after a pretty obvious (in my opinion) dive in the 59th minute. He was clearly upset with the decision and launched a verbal tirade towards referee Jonathan Moss. He is already out for next weekend's home tilt against Swansea, but the word is he could face an additional suspension thanks to his reaction. Next Sunday's match will be Leicester's first without Vardy in the Premier League this season.
