Thanks to his blackmail sex tape scandal, Karim Benzema will not be involved for France in Euro 2016. He was suspended indefinitely from the national team a few months ago, but was reinstated for the recent round of international friendlies. French manager Didier Deschamps and FFF President Noel Le Graet cite his inability to work in and around the squad as the reason for him not being selected, not the scandal. Although that is surely a primary reason for him not being able to fit in well with the team.

Jurgen Klinsmann was rumored to be linked to a possibly soon to be vacant managerial job at Everton. As is often the case with these reports, it was shot down fairly quickly. Klinsmann himself came out and said he was not in touch with the Liverpudlian club and even went so far as to call Roberto Martinez a fantastic manager. While that latter point may very well be debatable, it is not a shocker that Klinsmann doesn't want to leave his post at the US Men't National Team. He has a long term plan in place and would like to see it out, regardless of the increasing calls from fans to have him removed from office.
