It Happened in Europe: Real saves from first leg disaster, City KO'S PSG

Real Madrid 3-0 VfL Wolfsburg (3-2 on aggregate)
After scoring a huge upset in the second leg, Wolfsburg still faces the uphill challenge of needing to contain Real Madrid at the Santiago Bernabeu. Cristiano Ronaldo decided to prove just how impossible that task was by scoring twice in three minutes. His first came at the quarter hour mark when he was left far too open for a player of his caliber for an easy goal. The second came in the 17th when he got his head to a free kick to level the score.

Ronaldo would end up unlocking the Wolfsburg defense once again to earn his hat trick. I the 77th minute he sealed Real Madrid's place in the semi-final. It was the perfect free kick that found the smallest of cracks in the Wolfsburg wall on its way into the goal. It was the sort of take you'd expect to only see from a player of Ronaldo's caliber. Real Madrid had rescued themselves on the backs of their hero and are on they're way to the semi-finals once again.

Manchester City 1-0 Paris-St. Germain (3-2 on aggregate)
Manchester City got two big away goals in Paris last week and wanted to sit on that half-goal advantage at home. They did just that in the first half. They let PSG have the ball while they sat back and defended. The best chance for PSG came in the 16th minute with a Zlatan Ibrahimovic free kick that sailed only slightly over the crossbar. Manchester City had a chance to extend their advantage in the 29th with a penalty after Sergio Aguero was tripped in the box by Kevin Trapp. Aguero, normally quite reliable from the spot, missed the goal completely to blow the chance and keep the game goalless at half time.

Kevin De Bruyne would score the big goal for City in the 76th minute that would not only push his side through to the semis for the first time ever, but knock push PSG out in the quarters for the third consecutive year. His fantastic curling effort from well outside the penalty area traveled through traffic to evade Trapp. It was a fantastic goal to continue a pretty impressive Champions League rub fit Manchester City.
