The NASL has won another minor victory in the war over old European stars. Former Chelsea, Aston Villa, and England midfielder Joe Cole has signed with the Tampa Bay Rowdies for the remainder of this season. Cole is a 38-year-old has been who was kicking it around with second tier Coventry City this past year and apparently wants to finish his career in sunny Florida, much like many old folks around the world.

In addition to Mousa Dembele finding himself charged with violent conduct after Monday's rumble at Stamford Bridge, both Tottenham Hotspur and Chelsea have been charged with failing to control their players in the post match madness. Dembele's ban could also exceed three games, according to the FA. The clubs have until Monday evening to respond to the charges.

Former FIFA Vice President Jeffrey Webb is facing the possibility of a lifetime ban if the FIFA ethics committee gets its way. The former CONCACAF President has plead guilty to charges of wire fraud, racketeering, and money laundering. All seem worthy of kicking the guy out of soccer for good.
