A few professional clubs were upset this round. First off, Lansdowne Bhoys took care of Pittsburgh Riverhounds. The Villages upset Charleston Battery after penalties. Tulsa Roughnecks fell to Des Moines Menace. Finally, in the final match of the night, L.A. Wolves downed Orange County Blues in penalties. There were some almosts too as Detroit City FC came oh so close to defeating Louisville  City and Mississippi Brilla lost an epic shootout to OKC Energy. Overall, there were four USL sides to drop out of the 17 who were in the tournament.

John Terry had himself a one year offer from Chelsea and he has decided to take it. The 35 year old defender has been with the club since he was 14 and he will stay for at least one more year. It was thought that this would be his final year at the club as recently as this week. He even had Stamford Bridge rented out to play one final game there. Instead, it looks like he will be around for at least one more season.

After being relegated from the Premier League for the first time, Aston Villa have now been sold off. American billionaire Randy Lerner has sold the club to Chinese businessman Dr. Tony Xia for £60 million. This will come as welcome news to Villa supporters who have protested against Lerner's ownership for quite some time.
