It was thought that John Terry would be departing Chelsea this summer, but it looks like plans may have chanced, at least as far as the club is concerned. Terry will reportedly be offered a new one year contract at Stamford Bridge. Terry plans to mull the offer over before coming to a decision, but it's possible that his little pick up game will not be the final time he takes the field in West London. But, the contract may also be for a "different" role, whatever that means.

After firing Roberto Martinez, Everton' search for a new manager could be down to a couple of Dutchmen. Southampton manager Ronald Koeman and now former Ajax boss Frank de Boer are the leading candidates for the job. Koeman has expressed a desire to stay at Southampton, so de Boer would have to be considered the front runner.

Among other managerial shifts in the Premier League, Quique Sanchez Flores will be departing Watford. After the hot start was enough to keep the club up in the top tier, the Hornets have dropped nine of their last 11 league games. Although they made it to the FA Cup Semi-final, apparently the conditions in Flores's contract for renewal were not satisfied.

Several changes were made at FIFA's annual congress yesterday. For starters, they appointed their first ever female secretary general in Fatma Samoura from Senegal. She is also the first African to hold the position. She has done plenty of work with the United Nations before being appointed to FIFA office. Their membership was also slightly altered. They lifted Indonesia's suspension after their government lifted suspensions on their federation. Kuwait and Benin have also been suspended for government involvement. Finally, Kosovo and Gibraltar have been added to bring total FIFA membership up to 210 nations. Both will be fast tracked into a World Cup qualifying group for 2018.
