One of the things that FIFA doesn't need right now is a corruption scandal involving their newly elected president. Well, that's what they suddenly have on their hands. Gianni Infantino is involved in a cover up after he tried to delete emails containing meeting minutes from FIFA's May 23 congress in Mexico City. He apparently failed to delete said communiques, but could still face a suspension anyway. The lesson here is that nobody in the organization can be trusted. But we should all know that by now.

Aston Villa have found the man they hope will lead them back into the Premier League after their relegation disaster this season. Roberto di Matteo will take them helm at the beleaguered club after Remi Garde was shown the door in March. The man has a sizeable pedigree. He led Chelsea to their first, and only, Champions League title in 2012 and helped West Bromwich Albion get promoted in 2009-10, To help out the cause, Steve Clarke, who managed at West Brom and Schalke 04, will serve as head coach.

Everton are also close to hiring a new manager. Southampton boss Ronald Koeman is rumored to be close to taking over the Merseyside club. Koeman has lead Saints to back to back Europa League appearances and was in talks for a new contract there. It appears his plans have changed and he is moving on.
