Germany have a date with the French hosts in the second Euro 2016 semi-final, but they will be without their most bonafide striker, Mario Gomez. The 30-year-old forward tore his hamstring against Italy and will miss the remainder of the tournament. He joins Bastian Schweinsteiger and Sami Khedira in the German long term infirmary.

Wales's Hal Robson-Kanu is having a grand time at the European Championships. He is also a free agent after being released by Reading at the end of the season. As a result of his two goal performance at the torunament, offers have been "pouring in" from around the world, including the Premier League.

Chelsea have landed Belgian international striker Michy Batshuayi from Marseille. While no official fee was disclosed, it is believed that the Blues have paid £33 million for his services. He scored 23 goals in France last season and joins Thibaut Courtois and Eden Hazard as Chelsea's contingent of Belgian international players.
