Headlines
Jason Kreis, who managed New York City FC for their opening season before being sacked, is reportedly close to becoming Orlando City's new boss. The Lions dismissed their only manager in club history a couple weeks ago and are supposedly in advanced discussions with Kreis. Before taking the reins in the Big Apple, Kreis was in charge at Real Salt Lake from 2007-2013, winning MLS Cup in 2009 and losing in the CONCACAF Champions League Final the next season.

Arjen Robben might miss Bayern Munich's season opener. The Dutch winger is out for six weeks with an abductor muscle injury suffered in their preseason opener. The oft injured 32-year-old only played in 15 matches last season for the German champions. He will be touch and go to make Bayern's season opener on August 26 against Werder Bremen.
