It appears that the Fabian Castillo saga finally has a conclusion. After traveling to Turkey on a transfer and then being expected to return to Dallas with the move having fallen through, Castillo will now join Trabzonspor on loan until at least the end of the year. The club does have an option to buy him outright, though. Dallas and MLS will receive a $3 million fee for the loan and the option to buy is in the $1-1.5 million range.

After trading away longtime club fixture Sebastian Le Toux away to Colorado, Philadelphia Union have acquired Charlie Davies from New England. Both types of allocation money and a couple of 2018 Super Draft picks are headed to the Revs. Davies had scored 14 times over four seasons in New England.

As has been expected for a while, Arsenal have sent goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny back out on loan to Roma for this coming season.  After playing 181 matches for Arsenal since 2009, Szczesny was loaned out after Petr Cech joined the side last year. He started 34 matches in Serie A and led Roma to a third place finish.
