Hooligan's Wake Up: Chelsea falls to Liverpool at home

Yesterday's Scores
Premier League
Chelsea 1-2 Liverpool
(Costa 61')-(Lovren 17', Henderson 36')

Dejan Lovren's first ever Premier League goal and Jordan Henderson's long, long range golazo were enough to keep Chelsea at bay. Diego Costa scored again for the Blues, but it wasn't enough to engineer a comeback. If Chelsea wants to have a legitimate hope of reaching the top four, they are going to have to get some scoring from someone other than Costa. The club as a whole has ten goals on the young season and Costa has half of them.

Bundesliga
FC Koln 3-0 SC Freiburg
(Modeste 29', 43', Bittencourt 31')

La Liga
Real Betis 2-2 Granada
(Moreno 36', 61')-(Carcela-Gonzalez 13', Bueno 33')

Serie A
Sampdoria 0-1 AC Milan
(Bacca 85')

Ligue 1
Caen 0-6 Paris-Saint Germain
(Cavani 12', PK 23', 38', 45+1', Moura 67', Augustin 78')

Edison Cavani was starting to make headlines for his uncanny ability to miss easy goals before this week. He scored in the Champions League against Arsenal and exploded four four in the first half today as PSG romped all over Caen.

MLS
Chicago Fire 2-2 D.C. United
(Cocis 22', Accam 29')-(Vincent 19', Boswell 90+2')

For the second straight week D.C. United rescues a draw on the road with a stoppage time equalizer. This time, however, it was against lowly Chicago Fire. They are in the playoffs, for now, as they are even with Orlando City with 34 points. They take the lead thanks to their -1 goal difference over Orlando's -2. Expect United to drop back below the red line by the end of the day. Orlando hosts Columbus tonight and the Crew have more or less been mailing it in over the past couple weeks.

Liga MX
Veracruz 1-3 Morelia
(Furch 73')-(Ruidiaz 1', 28', Rodriguez 88')`1

Headlines
Scary moment for crystal Palace defender Pape Souare as he was involved in a car crash yesterday. He was airlifted to a London hospital after being involved in a crash on the M$ motorway outside London. He is thankfully expected to make a full recovery, but he is expected to miss six months.

Atletico Madrid manager Diego Simeone has had two years shopped off his contract. His deal, which was supposed to keep him at the club through 2020, now expires after the 2017-18 season. He insists that nothing has changed with his position at the club despite the reduction, but still hopes for an extension.
