Hooligan's Wake Up: Landon Donovan is back

Headlines
Landon Donovan is back. The retired former star is returning to LA Galaxy after two years of relative inactivity. WIth the injury situation consuming the Galaxy And sending them into a frenzy of low scoring matches, they will take all the help they can get. In what started off as joking around with former Galaxy teammates, Donovan eventually took it seriously enough to actually attempt a belated comeback. It's not exactly clear the role the former USMNT leader will play. Is he a super sub? Will he start games once he gets in shape? Is he the missing piece that will lead to LA's sixth MLS Cup?

The other major story today was FIFA upholding the transfer ban on Real and Atletico Madrid. Both clubs were deemed guilty of illegally signing youth players and is a similar charge to one Barcelona faced two years ago. They each denied the charges and appealed, but to no avail. Neither club will be allowed to register new players until January 2018. This could affect the contracts of Gareth Bale, Antoine Griezmann, and several other players who have been linked to both clubs in recent months.
