Hooligan's Wake Up: MLS Expansion Draft format announced

Yesterday's Scores
UEFA Champions League
FC Basel 1-1 Ludogorets Razgrad

(Steffan 80')-(Cafu 45')

Paris-Saint Germain 1-1 Arsenal
(Cavani 1')-(Sanchez 77')

Arsenal gonna Arsenal as they concede in less than a minute to Paris-Saint Germain. They would fight back for a draw, which is a favorable result, but they also say Olivier Giroud sent off for a second yellow thanks to an altercation with Marco Verratti, who was also given a second yellow. Group A sees all four sides level on one point.

Benfica 1-1 Besiktas
(Cervi 12')-(Taliska 90+3')

Dynamo Kiev 1-2 Napoli
(Garmash 27')-(Milik 36', 45+2')

Napoli gets a double from Polish international Arkadiusz Milik to get the leg up on Group B. They avoid having company at the top thanks to a last second equalizer from Talisca for Besiktas.

Barcelona 7-0 Celtic
(Messi 3', 27', 60', Neymar 50', Iniesta 59', Suarez 75', 88')

Manchester City v. Borussia Monchengladbach- Postponed

Barcelona wins their match with hapless Celtic by a touchdown thanks to their usual goal scoring suspects. Meanwhile, torrential rains had the pitch at Etihad Stadium flooded beyond a playable capacity. Manchester City and Borussia Monchengladbach will give it another go today.

Bayern Munich 5-0 Rostov
(Lewandowski PK 28', Muller 45+2', Kimmich 50', 60', Bernat 90')

PSV Eindhoven 0-1 Atletico Madrid
(Niguez 43')

Bayern Munich made simple work of Rostov at home while Atletico Madrid needed a little more effort to stave off PSV Eindhoven. Dutch sides have proved tough on their home turf in recent seasons, so they could find some way to play spoiler here, but I doubt they will be able to sneak into the knockout rounds.

CONCACAF Champions League
Sporting Kansas City 1-2 Vancouver Whitecaps

(Rubio 55')-(Hurtado 41', Davies 90+3')

Police United 0-11 Pachuca
(Nateus 22', Jara 27', Lozano 30', 35', 69', 79', Botta 44', 59', Ezquiel 72', 85', Gutierrez 89')

Real Esteli 1-1 Suchitepequez
(Wilson 69')-(Escoto 49')

Sporting Kansas City loses the battle of apathy with Vancouver Whitecaps. Neither side fielded a team that looked like they wanted to win the match. Both are more concerned with their chase for the MLS Playoffs. Pachuca proves that Mexican sides are probably too good for this competition as they hang 11 goals on little Police United of Belize.

U.S. Open Cup- Final
FC Dallas 4-2 New England Revolution
(Urruti 16', 61', Hedges 40', Diaz PK 45+7')-(Agudelo 6', 73')

FC Dallas wins their first trophy since the 1997 U.S. Open Cup. Their main man was Maxi Urruti, who scored twice in impressive fashion to lead this rout over the Revs. They will now have a spot in the CONCACAF Champions League next season. New England may well get their place in continental competition as well. If FC Dallas wins the Western Conference regular season title, the Revs will take their Open Cup spot.

Champions League Tables

Arizona United 1-2 Portland Timbers 2

(Tan 23')-(Williams 59', Brett 90')

MLS has announced their expansion draft plans for next season. It will take place on December 13, three days after the conclusion of the MLS Cup Final. It will be five rounds long, shorter than the ten rounds of previous editions. Finally, existing teams can lose only one unprotected player at most. This means half of the current field will come out of the even unscathed.
