Arsenal 3-2 Swansea City
(Walcott 27', 32', Ozil 57')-(Sigurdsson 38', Borja 66')

The Gunners tried to Arsenal away this match and hand Bob Bradley a positive result in his Premier League debut. Theo Walcott had a pair of goals, but probably could have had three more. Granit Xhaka was sent off in the 70th minute for a silly tackle and the ten man Gunners may have been lucky not to have conceded an equalizer. Since they didn't, Arsenal are now level on points with Manchester City for the top spot in the league.

Everton took advantage of two Maarten Stekelenburg saving a pair of penalties to earn a big point at the Etihad Stadium.

(Allen 8', 45+1')

(Lanzini 19')

The deluge soaked everything except one Manuel Lanzini goal. West Ham are out of the relegation zone with only their second win of the season.

Borussia Monchengladbach 0-0 Hamburg SV

Eintracht Frankfurt 2-2 Bayern Munich
(Huszti 43', Fabian 78')-(Robben 10', Kimmich 62')

This has to be a sort of frustrating result for Bayern Munich. Szabolcs Huszti was sent off in the 65th minute and not only did Bayern fail to extend their lead, but the conceded an equalizer to end up sharing the points against short handed Frankfurt.

A little bit of FA Cup history was made yesterday as ninth tier Westfields FC made their way into the first round proper for the first time in their history. The little HEreford based club plays in Midland League Premier Division. The FA Cup encompases the top ten levels of the English pyramid, so this ins;t quite as low as it goes, but it's close.
