Bundesliga
Borussia Monchengladbach 1-2 FC Köln
(Stindl 32')-(Modeste 59', Risse 90+1')

FC Augsburg 0-0 Hertha Berlin

Mainz 4-2 SC Freiburg
(Bungert 15', Malli 20', Bell 81', Onisiwo 90+5')-(Grifo 67', Petersen 85')

(Hartmann 68')

VfL Wolfsburg 0-1 Schalke 04
(Goretzka 82')

Borussia Dortmund 1-0 Bayern Munich
(Aubameyang 11')

Dortmund gets their first Der Klassiker win at home since 2012 as they ride an early Pierre-Patrick Aubameyang goal to the win. This defeat of BAyern Munich puts newly promoted RB Leipzig alone atop the Bundesliga pile. I hesitate to call them a Leicester City story, since they were formed using a large wad of cash courtesy of Red Bull with the intention of rapidly climbing the German pyramid and playing for titles as soon as they can. Still a cool tale, though.

La Liga
Deportivo La Coruna 2-3 Sevilla
(Babel 1', Andone 42')-(N'Zonzi 44', Vitolo 87', Mercado 90+2')

Barcelona 0-0 Málaga

Eibar 1-0 Celta Vigo
(Rico 9')

Atletico Madrid 0-3 Real Madrid
(Ronaldo 23', PK 71', 77')

Real Madrid are now four points clear of Barcelona in Spain with the first leg of El Clasico coming in two weeks time. If Madrid escape with all three points at Camp Nou, I think we can close the book on the Spanish title race by the time we hit Christmas. They will have taken out both their main title challengers on the road and no other side seems to be able to beat them anywhere. But, let's see what happens in two weeks before we jump to those conclusions.

Serie A

Cruz Azul 3-2 Leon
(Aldrete 66', Garcia Gamez 77', Burdisso 90+1')-(Moran 27', Cano 34')

Morelia 1-2 Monterrey
(Ruidiaz 74')-(Funes Mori 22', Chara 55')

UANL 1-2 Querétaro
(Delort 85')-(Candelo 43', Sanvezzo 79')

Pachuca 3-3 Club America
(Alvarez 8', Jara 12', PK 77')-(Romero 41', 72', Arroyo 75')

Guadalajara 1-1 Necaxa
(Pulido 33')-(Meza 14')

Two playoff spots are still up for grabs in Mexico as they enter the final day of the season. Toluca and Pumas UNAM can both jump into the post season with a win. They both play today, with Toluca hosting Santos and Pumas travelling to Puebla. If one of those sides wins, Monterrey will fall out and if both prevail, Leon would too.

Headlines
Reports indicate that Steven Gerrard will reject the offer to become the new manager at MK Dons. The club are in a freefall and looking to right their ship as they are in the relegation zone down in League One. This certainly indicates that Gerrard is looking to keep playing, although he is still deciding his future.
