We don't know the USMNT squad yet, be we do know who Mexico will dress for their World Cup Qualifier in Columbus next Friday night. It's mostly the usual suspects for El Tri as they look to end a string of dos a cero defeats in the Ohio capital. A total of 13 European based players are on the roster, including Bayer Leverkusen's Javier "Chicharito" Hernandez. LA Galaxy's Gio Dos Santos is also there alongside Mexican stalwarts Rafa Marquez and Oribe Peralta. Here's the full squad:

Goalkeepers: Alfredo Talavera (Toluca), Guillermo Ochoa (Granada), Jesus Corona (Cruz Azul)

Defenders: Rafa Marquez (Atlas), Hector Moreno (PSV), Oswaldo Alanis (Chivas), Miguel Layun (Porto), Carlos Salcedo (Fiorentina), Diego Reyes (Espanyol), Nestor Araujo (Santos Laguna), Hugo Ayala (Tigres)

Midfielders: Hector Herrera (Porto), Jesus DueƱas (Tigres) Jonathan dos Santos (Villarreal), Andres Guardado (PSV), Giovani dos Santos (LA Galaxy), Orbelin Pineda (Chivas), Marco Fabian (Eintracht Frankfurt)

Forwards: Javier Hernandez (Bayer Leverkusen), Raul Jimenez (Benfica), Carlos Vela (Real Sociedad), Javier Aquino (Tigres), Jesus Corona (Porto), Hirving Lozano (Pachuca), Oribe Peralta (Club America)

Longtime Real Salt Lake midfielder Javier Morales is departing the club after ten years of service with the club. The 36-year-old wrote a letter to the team's fans thanking them for their support of his career. He did not make it clear on whether he plans to search for a new team to play for, if he has an offer in place already, or if he is simply retiring from the game after a solid career. He played in the MLS All Star Game thrice and helped lead RSL to the 2009 MLS Cup.

New FIFA president Gianni Infantino hasn't been shy about the need for changes throughout many areas of world soccer. While many involve rooting out corruption, others are less criminal and more focused on the game at hand. He spoke about reforming the transfer market to be more transparent and introducing squad limits to prevent teams from hoarding players. I like that second change as there are a lot of teams, like Chelsea, who stock up on prime young talent and use them as loan products to rake in fees from the receiving teams. This would likely increase competitive balance and give more young players playing time in order to further their development. I hope he can pull that one off.
