The St. Louis MLS bid is getting a little bit of new life after the state government shot down their original plan calling for state funding. Their new proposal only asks for the State of Missouri to turn over a few million dollars worth of land in St. Louis to the prospective owners for free. The 24-acre site near Union Station is yet to be appraised, but it's still going to be worth a pretty penny.

LA Galaxy has added Portuguese midfielder Joao Pedro. The 23-year-old has been in Portugal's top flight since 2014. He is the Galaxy's second signing in as many days after adding Jermaine Jones on Tuesday.

Bad news for Tottenham as they have learned that defender Jan Vertonghen will be out for six weeks thanks to some ankle ligament damage. He turned his ankle during the club's 4-0 win over West Bromwich Albion on Saturday. He is a big part of the best defense in the Premier League and his presence will surely be missed.
