Headlines
Bruce Arena has called up 32 MLS based players for the USMNT's January Camp. Arena's first squad in his second tenure with the team features a generous mix of familiar and experimental. All the usuals are there. Michael Bradley, Jermaine Jones, and Jozy Altidore are included. Also there are a couple first timers. Stefan Frei, Kekuta Manneh, and Taylor Kemp are among the newbies. Here's the full roster and my breakdown at Last Word on Soccer:

Goalkeepers: David Bingham (San Jose Earthquakes), Stefan Frei (Seattle Sounders), Bill Hamid (D.C. United), Nick Rimando (Real Salt Lake), Luis Robles (New York Red Bulls)

Defenders: DaMarcus Beasley (Unattached), Steve Birnbaum (D.C. United), Brad Evans (Seattle Sounders), Greg Garza (Atlanta United), Matt Hedges (FC Dallas), Taylor Kemp (D.C. United), Chad Marshall (Seattle Sounders), Keegan Rosenberry (Philadelphia Union), Walker Zimmerman (FC Dallas), Graham Zusi (Sporting Kansas City)

Midfielders: Kellyn Acosta (FC Dallas), Alejandro Bedoya (Philadelphia Union), Michael Bradley (Toronto FC), Benny Feilhaber (Sporting Kansas City), Jermaine Jones (Unattached), Sacha Kljestan (New York Red Bulls), Sebastian Lletget (LA Galaxy), Kekuta Manneh (Vancouver Whitecaps), Dax McCarty (New York Red Bulls), Darlington Nagbe (Portland Timbers), Chris Pontius (Philadelphia Union), Wil Trapp (Columbus Crew SC)

Forwards: Juan Agudelo (New England Revolution), Jozy Altidore (Toronto FC), Jordan Morris (Seattle Sounders), Chris Wondolowski (San Jose Earthquakes), Gyasi Zardes (LA Galaxy)

Hull City have hired Marco Silva as a replacement for Mike Phelan. Silva has had managerial stints at Olimpiakos and Sporting CP before coming to England. He takes over a team at the bottom of the Premier League and is trying to save them from being a one and done in the Premier League.

Today's Transfer News
  • Everton have paid £11 million for 19 year old forward Ademola Lookman from Charlton Athletic. He has seven goals in 25 matches this year and is the most expensive transfer from League 1 ever.
  • Leicester have completed their move for Racing Genk's Wilfred Ndidi.
  • Chelsea's John Obi Mikel is off to China's Tian Jin TEDA for an unknown fee.
