Headlines
German hero Philipp Lahm has announced he will retire at the end of the season. The Bayern Munich captain has has nothing short of an illustrious career. Only 33 years old, he has made over 500 appearances for Bayern while winning the Bundesliga seven times, six DFB Pokal titles, and the Champions League once. Internationally, he has 113 caps with Germany and was the captain of the squad that won the 2014 World Cup.

Freddy Adu's trial with the Timbers has come to an end without a contract offer. The youngest player ever to appear for the USA was invited to preseason camp and did not impress in the two weeks he was there. Looks like its back to the drawing board for the one time rising star, who has now played for 13 clubs in his 14 year career.
