Real Madrid will be without two of their biggest names when they take on Eibar today. Gareth Bale will be serving the first of a two game suspension after receiving a red card in the midweek draw against Las Palmas. Ronaldo will also miss the game thanks to an unknown injury. This is rather grim news for a club that looked to have La Liga done and dusted not too long ago. They are now a point back of Barcelona for the top spot, although they do have a game in hand.

Arsenal will also be missing a big piece to their puzzle for today's game at Anfield against Liverpool Mesut Ozil did not make the trip to Merseyside thanks to having the flu. Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain expects to start in his stead.

The FA wants to give instant replay a try. They are hoping to trial a VAR system beginning in the third round and beyond of next year's FA Cup. The announcement came alongside several other rules tests in the lower leagues. Sin bins for yellow card fouls, changes to the shooting order for shootouts, and changes to substitutions are all on the table.

Atlanta United has announced that their home opener tomorrow agaisnt New York Red Bulls has sold out. Over 50,000 tickets have been purchased for the match at Georgia Tech's Bobby Dodd Stadium. Make sure to tune in to the match, which kicks off a little after 7:30pm on FS1.

Landon Donovan has joined up with the investment group hoping to bring MLS to San Diego. He took to Facebook live to announce that his is supporting the bid, hoping to bring the league to the city for 2020. He certainly adds some muscle to their bid as Donovan is nothing less than an MLS legend. He may not carry the weight of David Beckham in Miami (who insists his stadium deal is very, very close despite more delays), but he certainly cannot be ignored in this expansion fight.

Finally, the players of Argentinian league are going on strike. Two top division matches have been postponed as players are rebelling against the federation thanks to a major financial crisis. Many players have not seen their wages for several months and are vowing not to play until they are paid in full.
