Hooligan's Daily: Chelsea, Real Madrid, Bayern Munich, Juventus inch closer to titles

Yesterday's Scores
Premier League
Tottenham 4-0 Watford
(Ali 33', Dier 39', Son 44', 54')

Manchester City 3-1 Hull City
(Elmohamady OG 31', Aguero 48', Delph 64')-(Ranocchia 85')

Middlesbrough 0-0 Burnley

Stoke City 2-1 Liverpool
(Walters 44')-(Coutinho 70', Firmino 72')

West Bromwich Albion 0-1 Southampton
(Clasie 25')

West Ham 1-0 Swansea City
(Kouyate 44')

AFC Bournemouth 1-3 Chelsea
(King 42')-(Smith OG 17', Hazard 20', Alonso 68')

All that talk of the title race being back on after last weekend's results is now completely nonsensical. Chelsea's midweek deconstruction of Manchester City and this convincing beatdown of Bournemouth have them on top of the league by seven points with seven to play. It would take some massive collapse for them to lose their grip on the trophy, as has been the case for months now.

FC Köln 3-2 Borussia Monchengladbach
(Clemens 18', Modeste 58', Stindl 80')-(Vestergaard 13', Hazard 55')

Hamburg SV 2-1 TSG Hoffenheim
(Hunt 26', 75')-(Kramaric PK 35')

RB Leipzig 1-0 Bayer Leverkusen
(Poulsen 90+3')

SC Freiburg 1-0 Mainz
(Petersen 70')

Schalke 04 4-1 VfL Wolfsburg
(Burgstaller 6', 77', Goretzka 23', Caligiuri 48')-(Gomes PK 79')

Bayern Munich 4-1 Borussia Dortmund
(Ribery 4', Lewandowski 10', PK 68', Robben 49')-(Guerreiro 20')

Just in case Bayern Munich needed any more proof that they are the best in Germany, they well and truly pounded their arch rivals in Der Klassiker. They have a ten point lead over RB Leipzig with six matches to play.

La Liga
Espanyol 1-0 Alavés
(Piatti 56')

Real Madrid 1-1 Atlético Madrid
(Pepe 52')-(Griezmann 85')

Sevilla 4-2 Deportivo La Coruña
(Jovetic 1', Sarabia 9', Correa 32', Ben Yedder 88')-(Kakuta 4', 25')

Malaga 2-0 Barcelona
(Ramirez 32', Jony 90')

Barcelona did their best to make sure the Spanish title race is all done and dusted. Not only did this match see them lose their fourth game of the season, but it came at the cost of Neymar for potentially several games. He was sent off in the 65th minute and satirically applauded the refs decision to show hm red. That little gesture could cost him some extra games and Barcelona any shot at the title. That could keep him out for the April 23 El Clasico at the San Bernabeo. Real Madrid are six points clear at the top with a game in hand over the rest of the competition.

Serie A
Empoli 1-1 US Pescara
(El Kaddouri 9')-(Capari 31')

Atalanta 1-1 Sassuolo
(Cristante 73')-(Pellegrini 36')

Juventus 2-0 Chievo Verona
(Higuain 23', 84')

The Juventus title march is on as well. Gonzalo Higuain's brace has them nine points clear of AS Roma, who play today, with seven matches to go.

Ligue 1
Angers 0-1 AS Monaco
(Falcao 61')

AS Nancy Lorraine 3-0 State Rennes
(Dale 11', Dia 51', 65')

Bordeaux 3-0 Metz
(Malcom 14', Vada PK 50', 52')

Caen 0-2 Montpellier
(Sessegnon 49', Ikone 88')

Dijon 1-2 Bastia
(Melou 29')-(Crivelli 17', Cahuzac 58')

Olympique Lyonnais 1-4 Lorient
(Tolisso 28')-(Waris 42', Marveaux 49', Moukandjo 74', 80')

The only major European title left up for grabs is here in France. Monaco, PSG, and Nice are separated by six points at the moment with PSG still to play this weekend. Nice are more or less out of the picture, though. They sit four back with six to go, but have an extra game played compared to the other two challengers. The Parisians can shrink their gap to three points today.

North American League Tables

The rumors have more or less been true for a while, but the USA, Canada, and Mexico intend to make their 2026 World Cup bid official at a press conference in New York on Monday. U.S. Soccer mentioned a "historic announcement" to go down tomorrow, which can really only mean the World Cup bid is on. I can't imagine they would tease us like this for making the CONCACAF Nations League official. CONCACAF hasn't hosted the World Cup since 1994 in the USA. Mexico has hosted twice, 1970 and 1986, which was Canada's only appearance at the tournament. The GReat White North has never hosted the men's event, but were excellent hosts for the 2015 Women's World Cup,
