Newcastle's 4-1 win over Preston North End secured their spot back in the Premier League for next season. It took manager Rafa Benitez one year to get back to the top after he shockingly stayed with the team through their relegation last season. They will join Brighton as newly promoted teams next season. The final spot has five realistic contenders.Reading, Sheffield Wednesday, Huddersfield, and Fulham are all currently in playoff spots while Leeds remains in the hunt.

Phoenix Rising coach Frank Yallop has resigned from his post as Didier Drogba sets to take on a role as an owner and player. He claimed it was time to step aside as the team seeks a spot in MLS behind the power of their new Ivorian executive forward. Rick Schantz, who was Yallop's assistant, will lead the team until a permanent replacement is found.
