Arsenal minority share holder Alisher Usmanov has bid $1.3 billion to take majority control away from the much hated Stan Kroenke. He hasn't responded to the offer yet. The Arsenal fan base may be divided to the core right now, but if there is one thing they can agree on, it's that Kroenke is a garbage owner. Usmanov has publicly blamed the current owner for the club's struggles, but has also come under fire himself. Fans have wondered why they haven't been able to use his wealth to build the team. He's the 66th richest man in the world with a net worth of more than $15 billion. However, they could change if this offer is accepted, which is just what Arsenal needs. They haven't spent much on the transfer market under Kroenke, who prefers a sound business model compared to the win at any cost philosophy of recent Premier League champions.

The Bundesliga has named four new referees, including their first woman. Bibiana Steinhaus will become the first female referee in the league next season. She is a 38-year old police officer once worked as an assistant in the Premier League under Howard Webb and spent the last six years officiating second tier German games.
