Hooligan's Daily: FIFA votes to fast-track USA's 2026 World Cup bid

Yesterday's Scores
Europa League- Semi-Finals Second Leg
Olympique Lyonnais 3-1 Ajax Amsterdam (4-5 on aggregate)
(Lacazette PK 45', 45+1', Ghezzal 81')-(Dolberg 27')

Manchester United 1-1 Celta Vigo (2-1 on aggregate)
(Fellaini 17')-(Roncaglia 85')

Manchester United survived a late Celta Vigo onslaught ensure an English team will play in the Europa League final for the second year in a row. They've been putting all their eggs in this basket for some time now, so it's a good thing it's paying off for them so far. They should be the favorites for the final against Ajax, but at least they will have a couple weeks after the end of the Premier League season to rest up for it.

Liga MX Playoffs- Quarterfinals First Leg
Morelia 1-0 Tijuana
(Sansores 10')

Atlas 1-0 Guadalajara
(Alustiza PK 30')

Charlotte Independence 5-1 New York Red Bulls II
(Herrera 39', Ross-Jennings 43', Martinez 51', Estrada 82', Siaj 90"2')-(Flemmings 21')

Tulsa Roughnecks 3-1 Vancouver Whitecaps 2
(Caffa 27', Svantesson 40', 53')-(Amanda 48')

FIFA has approved the fast tracking of the joint USA-Mexico-Canada 2026 World Cup bid by an overwhelming majority.A total of 93% of FIFA's 209 voters approved the idea that will give the group until March 2018 to completely prove their worth. The window will not be exclusively their own, however. Other nations will have until August 11 to speak up and place their own bid. Only Africa has expressed interest, however, with Morocco leading a potential West African charge. The USA still figures to be awarded the event, however, and will probably get it at the next FIFA congress in June 2018.
