TSG Hoffenheim 0-0 FC Augsburg

Thus ends the German season with Bayern Munich as runaway champions once again, That's getting kind of repetitive, but there isn't much we can do about it. On the plus side, we get a pair of Champions League rookies from Germany this year. TSG Hoffenheim and RB Leipzig will make their European debuts next fall after strong seasons. Hopefully, Leipzig will continue their rapid ascent and actually challenge Munich for a title next year while competing in the Champions League.

On the other end of the table, minnows Ingolstadt and Darmstadt are going down, while relative giants VfL Wolfsburg will need to win a pro/rel playoff against TSV Eintracht Braunschweig to stay in the top flight. VfB Stuttgart and Hannover 98 are coming up from 2. Bundesliga after one year down.

La Liga
Sporting Gijon 2-2 Real Betis
(Douglas 7', Carmona 79')-(Castro 22', 59')

Deportivo La Coruna 3-0. Las Palmas
(Andone 4', 28', Gil 39')

Leganes 1-1 Alaves
(Timor 89')-(Krsticic 64')

Sevilla 5-0 Osasuna
(Vitolo 10', Vazquez 20', 60', Jovetic 35', Vitolo 80')

The real action takes place in Spain today, but the relegation race closed down today. Osasuna and Granada were already going down and they will be joined by Sporting Gijon, who needed a win and a loss from Leganes to have any chance of Primera Division survival.

Serie A
Chievo Verona 3-5 AS Roma
(Castro 15', Inglese 37', 86')-(El Shaarawy 28', 58', Salah 42', 76', Dzeko 83')

Napoli 4-1 Fiorentina
(Koulibaly 8', Insigne 36', Mertens 57', 64')-(Ilicic 60')

Roma are now within a point of Juventus, but the Old Lady can still wrap up a title with a game to spare if they win today.

Ligue 1
Angers 2-0 Montpellier
(Bamba 82', Tait 88')

AS Nancy Lorraine 0-0 St. Etienne

Guingamp 1-0 Metz
(Diallo 29')

Lille 0-0 Nantes

Lorient 0-0 Bordeaux

Olympique Lyonnais 3-3 Nice
(Le Marchand 10', Lacazette 48', 78')-(Donis 15', 69', Seri 90+4')

Olympique Marseille 1-0 Bastia

Paris Saint-Germain 1-1 Caen
(Rabiot 13')-(Ronny 90+1')

Stade Rennes 2-3 AS Monaco
(Diakhaby PK 69', 90+1')-(Fabinho 42', Jemerson 47', Jorge 78')

Toulouse 0-0 Dijon

France ends with Monaco breaking PSG's stranglehold on the top spot in the table. Those two will head to the Champions League next year along with Nice, who were unexpected title challengers for a while, but failed to hold on when all was said and done.Nancy Lorraine and Bastia are headed down to Ligue 2, while Lorient will play Troyes in a playoff as they try to stay up.

Coming up to Ligue 1 next year will be champions Strasbourg, who are completing their fourth promotion in six years. They last played in the top level back in 2008. Second place Amiens will join them after a 96th minute winner in their final game put them through to second place, It's their first time in the top flight in their 116 year history.

North American League Tables

This doesn't come as a shock, but Arsenal majority shareholder Stan Kroenke has no desire to give up his control of the club. The American sports mogul has turned down the $1.3 billion bid from Russian oligarch Alisher Usmanov. He has aspirations of turning Arsenal into a major force in Europe. That's a wonderful dream to have, but it would be nice if he started spending like he meant it. Kroenke has come under increased fire from Arsenal supporters as the club continues to spiral into chaos while the owner stays silent from across the Atlantic Ocean.
