Bournemouth have broke their club record transfer fee to bring Nathan Ake into their club permanently. He spent last season on loan from Chelsea and scored three goals from the back line. It's believed they payed £20 million for his services. Ake is the third signing of the busy summer for the Cherries. Goalkeeper Asmir Begovic and striker Jermaine Defoe have already come on.

Newly promoted Huddersfield Town have rewarded manager David Wagner with a new contract. He is slated to stay with the Terriers for the next two years. He originally joined the club on a one year rolling contract in 2015. He managed to turn a 19th place finish in his first season into a promotion to the Premier League in his second, thus earning a more stable deal.

Spurs fullback Kieran Trippier has signed a new contract that will keep him in North London until 2022. He's made 41 appearances for Tottenham since joining them from Burnley in 2015.

Goalkeeper Jesse Gonzalez has completed his one time international switch from Mexico to the United States. The FC Dallas keeper is now tied to the USMNT and could be called into the squad for the knockout rounds of the CONCACAF Gold Cup. This ends his long personal battle between the USA and El Tri. It was thought Mexico manager Juan Carlos Osorio would possibly call him into the team soon, so this is a good steal for Bruce Arena.
