Hooligan's Daily: Pair of Pulisic goals leads USMNT over T&T

Yesterday's Scores
World Cup Qualifying- CONCACAF
United States 2-0 Trinidad and Tobago
(Pulisic 52', 62')

Clint Dempsey may be one goal away from taking Landon Donovan's USA goal scoring record, but he might not have it for long, at this rate. Christian Pulisic dazzled his way to a pair of goals in Colorado to give the USA three vital points to move them to third place in the Hex by one point over Panama.

Costa Rica 0-0 Panama

This is a big road point for Panama, who are looking to make their first ever World Cup. Costa Rica are one of the top sides in the confederation and do not often drop points at home. Panama will take it to the bank and hold onto fourth place in the Hex by two points over Honduras.

Mexico 3-0 Honduras
(Alanis 34', Lozano 63', Jimenez 66')

Mexico extends their lead at the top to five points over second place Costa Rica. They are nine points clear of qualification and are all but certain to be heading to Russia next summer.

World Cup Qualifying- AFC
Australia 3-2 Saudi Arabia
(Juric 7', 36', Rogic 64')-(Al Dawsari 23', Al-Sahlawi 45+2')

World Cup Qualifying- OFC
Solomon Islands 3-2 Papua New Guinea
(Kaua 12', Totori 37', Leaalafa 74')-(Foster 48', Aisa 61')

Headlines
Manchester United are reportedly releasing Zlatan Ibrahimovic. The Swede bagged 28 goals for the Red Devils before he suffered a season ending knee injury that will keep him out until January. The club determined it does not make sense to pay him astronomical wages to sit out for the first five months of the new season. This opens up speculation about Zlatan's next move. He has been linked with MLS in the past, but supposedly wants to remain in Europe, for now.

Leicester City have gone ahead and made Craig Shakespeare their permanent manager. He signed a three year deal with the Foxes yesterday. He took over as interim manager after Claudio Ranieri was sacked in February and went on to win eight of 16 games to close the season. He led his club to the Champions League quarterfinals, the furthest any English club made it.

Manchester City have signed goalkeeper Ederson Moraes from Benfica for £35 million, the most British pounds anyone has ever paid for a keeper. The 23--year-old won the domestic double in Portugal last year. The Brazilian is expected to challenge for the number one goalkeeping role with Claudio Bravo. Other keeper Joe Hart is expected to leave the club this summer.
