Headlines
The Serious Fraud Office is investigating the Garcia Report to look for possible bribes paid out through London banks. Australia's failed 2022 bid is specifically being looked at for money laundering. Other bid improprieties could be investigated, including possible bribes made by the England bid committee.

2018 MLS expansion side Los Angeles FC is close to a big signing. Dutch international Wesley Snijder is reportedly on his way to Southern California from Galatasaray on a $3.5 million per year salary. He has a year left on his contract in Turkey, so he will finish the calander year over there before joining up with LAFC after the new year.

Cristiano Ronaldo will miss Portugal's appearance in the Confederation's Cup third p;ace game due to the birth of twins to a surrogate mother in the United States. The children were born on June 8, before the start of the tournament. He is yet to meet his new kids though, nad will head to the USA to be with them for the first time.
