Iran is heading to Russia next summer. They are the first Asian nation to book their ticket to the 2018 World Cup. It will be their first back to back World Cup appearance in their history and their fifth overall. We now know three of the 32 nations competing next summer. Iran joins the Russian hosts and Brazil as the only confirmed teams thus far.

Headlines
AC Milan are continuing their rebuild with Andre Silva, whom they signed from FC Porto for €38 million. The Portuguese striker scored 20 times in 40 matches in all competitions for Porto last season and has eight international caps. Milan have now spent a whopping €135 million so far this summer, as new investors from China have brought tremendous spending power to the storied Italian club.
