Manchester United appear to have swooped in and stolen Romelu Lukaku from Chelsea. Reports indicate that United have agreed to a £75 million transfer fee with Everton, who deny the claim. Chelsea have long been the favorites to bring Lukaku back into their fold, but now his former manager with the Blues has come in for the 24-year-old Belgian striker. He scored 25 league goals last season and has been public about his desires to play in the Champions League.

Former UEFA president Michel Platini has had his ban appeal officially rejected by the Swiss Federal Court. He will continue to serve his four year ban from the game for various ethics violations and bribes.

Red Bull Arena will officially host the USMNT's next home World Cup qualifier agaisnt Costa Rica on September 1. U.S. Soccer finalized those plans yesterday.

Japanese international Keisuke Honda is training with Orange County SC, adding to the speculation that he may sign with LA Galaxy or 2018 expansion side Los Angeles FC. Honda was linked with a move stateside a while ago and this certainly adds fuel to that fire.
