Headlines
Wayne Rooney appears to be close to a move to his former club of Everton. He's fallen out of favor with Jose Mourinho and expects to see even less playing this year should he remain at Manchester United. Everton, meanwhile, will offer him more playing time and similar wages. He's got two years left on his current contract, but has been given permission to leave.

Arsenal's move for Alexandre Lacazette is inching closer to completion. The French forward had a medical with the club yesterday and the move could be made official as soon as today. The transfer price is set at £45 million, which would be an Arsenal record.

Lionel Messi has agreed to a new Barcelona contract. The 30-year-old megastar will stay with the only club he's known until 2021. His new release clause is a staggering €300 million.
