Atlasv. UANL- Postponed

Here's a bizarre reason for a game to be postponed: a new scoreboard above the center of the pitch was installed two low to play the game. The screen was supposed to be ready for the start of the Apertura season, but construction delays kept it until now, and they still couldn't get it right. This match will be made up during the November international break.

Philippe Coutinho will miss yet another game for Liverpool as Jurgen Klopp decided not to name him in the squad for today's showdown with Manchester City. Coutinho made two appearances for Brazil over the weekend, but Klopp is apparently still concerned about his fitness after skipping much of the preseason and Liverpool's first three Premier League games thanks to an apparent back injury.

FIFA has opened a disciplinary case to investigate Dele Alli's middle finger during England's 2-1 win over Slovakia on Monday. Alli was caught making the gesture after he was taken down in the penalty area with no call coming from the referee. Alli, and his manager, Gareth Southgate, maintain the gesture was a playful one aimed at his former Tottenham teammate Kyle Walker. The FA claims they have video to back this up, but FIFA wants to do its due diligence anyway.

Speaking of Tottenham, they sent striker Vincent Janssen to Fenerbahce on loan for the season. He's dropped in the pecking order at Spurs and the club say he will benefit from more playing time in Turkey and that he still has a future in North London.
