Manchester United may have run rampant over Anderlecht in their Champions League opener, but it came at the cost of Paul Pogba. The young midfield wizard was forced off early in the first half with a hamstring injury and left Old Trafford on crutches. Further examination is needed to determine how long he will be out, but hes already in doubt for the weekend clash with Everton.

Crystal Palace have confirmed the hiring of Roy Hodgson as their new manager. The former England leader will replace Frank de Boer, who was canned after only four goalless Premier League matches and only 77 days on the job. Hodgson last managed a team during the 2016 Euros, where he oversaw England losing to Iceland in the Round of 16.

Liverpool's appeal of Sadio Mane's red card suspension has been denied by the FA. The forward will miss the next three domestic games, including a pair of Premier League matches, for his high bood to the face of Manchester City goalkeeper Ederson. Liverpool were attempting to get the length of the suspension reduced to only a game or two, but the FA ruling was upheld after an independent hearing.
