Jordan Morris left Sunday night's Seattle Sounders-LA Galaxy match with an apparent leg injury and its worse than Seattle, and the USMNT, would have liked. The young striker was diagnosed with a hamstring strain yesterday and will miss the remainder of the MLS regular season and will not be available for the USMNT's next slate of World Cup Qualifiers in October.

Sadio Mane was sent off early in Liverpool's disheartening defeat at Manchester City on Saturday for a high boot to City keeper Ederson's head. He faces a three game ban, as is usual for these incidents, but Liverpool are appealing the decision, claiming three matches is a bit excessive. The appeal is unlikely to succeed.

Sporting Kansas City's Erik Palmer-Brown is heading to Europe. The SKC Academy product signed a pre-contract deal with Manchester City and will hitch on with the club in January when his MLS deal expires. Palmer-Brown signed with Sporting at the tender age of 16 back in 2003. He's the youngest defender to start an MLS game and has made a total of ten starts since his senior team debut in 20014. This isn't his first link to Europe, SKC have turned down other lucrative offers in the past. This is just the first to actually follow through.
