Payouts for playing in last year's Champions League were made public yesterday and the figures were a little surprising. Real Madrid, who won the tournament, made out with a cool €81 million out of the more €1.4 billion available. That puts them third in overall earnings behind Leicester City, who made it to the quarterfinals and warned €81.7 billion and runners up Juventus, who blew everyone away at €110.4 million. On the other end of the spectrum, FC Basel made out with the lowest payment at €16.3 million.

Goalkeeper Bill Hamid is leaving D.C. United, probably for Denmark, and it turns out he may not play in his last game with the club. There's no injury or anything, he just isn't showing up. He wasn't at training either of the last two days and head coach Bill Olsen is preparing to start Steve Clark for the fifth game in a row. Sunday is also the final game at RFK Stadium, as the club is set to open Audi Field in the spring.
