Headlines
The United 2026 bid committee continues to narrow down it's potential host cities. They narrowed the list down from 41 submissions down to 32 for the next stage of their bidding process. Al the big ones are still there and there are few surprises on the cut list, Cleveland being the biggest city knocked off. Canada has four markets still in the running while Mexico maintains three. The remaining 25 are all in the United States.

In more future World Cup news, Argentina, Paraguay, and Uruguay announced their intention to put in a joint bid for the 2030 event. This will mark the 100th anniversary of the first ever World Cup, which was held in Uruguay, so it would be a somewhat symbolic gesture to give them this version. They are the first bid to officially come out. although there has been talk of England spearheading a bid from the entire United Kingdom.
