Patrice Evra has been banned from continental competition for the rest of the season and was subsequently released from Olympique Marseille after he kicked a fan before their last Europa League match. This comes after the club indefinitely suspended him immediately following the incident. UEFA also fined him €10,000.

Big shocker here, but Gareth Bale might be hurt again. He picked up a thigh injury during training with Real Madrid Thursday afternoon. He already hasn't played since September and this latest knock might keep him our for yet another month.

USWNT keeper Hope Solo accused former FIFA president Sepp Blatter of sexual assault, bringing up an incident at the 2013 Ballon d'Or ceremony. She levied the allegation in an interview with a Portuguese newspaper, saying "I had Sepp Blatter grab my ass." I have no trouble whatsoever believing her story. In fact, I'm rather shocked she's the first person to accuse that vile piece of himan filth of such actions.
