Harry Kane broke Alan Shearer's Premier League record for most goals in a calendar year thanks to this hat trick. He will finish 2017 with 39 goals in league play, three more than Shearer's total in 1995. He also has 56 goals for club and country than anyone in Europe. His 56 goals in all competitions are more than Lionel Messi (54), and Cristiano Ronaldo, Robert Lewandowski, and Edinson Cavani (53 each)
