Hooligan's Daily: Manchester City's win streak doesn't survive 2017

Yesterday's Scores
Premier League
Crystal Palace 0-0 Manchester City

Manchester City's historic winning streak comes to an end at 18 games on the final day of 2017. Palace had a golden chance to end their unbeaten season, too. Not only did Aaron Townsend send a shot skyward with an open net late ten yards away late in the second half, but Luka Milivojevic had a penalty saved in the first minute of stoppage time. So, Palace definitely deserved at least a point, but they perhaps deserve all three of them in a very well played exciting 0-0 draw.

Ashley Young will sit for three games thanks to throwing an elbow at Dusan Tadic on Saturday. He accepted the initial charge, but failed to get the length of the suspension reduced. fullback will miss  today's Wayne Rooney Derby with Everton, this weekend's FA Cup clash with Derby County, and the following weekend's match against Stoke City.

Speaking of Everton, they learned their new stadium will be far more expensive than originally planned. Last spring, they acquired land on the Liverpool waterfront with the plan to build a £300 million facility. The club wouldn't give a specific number for the cost of the new park, just that costs "escalated significantly." Regardless, they still plan to move into this unbuilt structure for the 2022-23 season.
